17th Door Haunted House Review: Extreme Horror! Hollywood Gothique

17th door haunted house

Fresh off their Edinburgh Festival Fringe tour, visitors are guided through a terrifying “Urban Death” maze of horrors, monstrosities, spirits and more! Note they run various underground theater presentations throughout the year. Especially good kids theater during the summer. The haunt, which relocated to a 16,000 square-foot warehouse inside a Fullerton shopping center in 2017, includes rooms like the Tumbler, which spins while people are inside of it. There’s also the Cockroach Room, where a masked person plays with live roaches and then puts them on guests. Then there’s a room where people are locked in electric chairs and forced to shock each other.

The best haunted houses in Los Angeles for Halloween scares

The 17th Door combines a traditional group walk-through maze with extreme scare elements and truly impressive tech and design. The result is one of the scariest, brutal, and and most entertaining haunted houses in the Southland. The punishments and scares are well themed and meted out by a cast of overly enthusiastic guards and inmates. Please note there are extreme elements at play here including live insects, claustrophobia, gross adult themes, and sometimes very painful electrical shocks. You can always bypass a room by saying a safe word; however, doing so will end the experience for you as well as everyone else in your group.

A. Yes, we have portable restrooms available in the parking lot. Please do not use our neighboring tenants’ restrooms. A. There will be limited amounts of vulgar language and sexual innuendo but no nudity. The show will include small amounts of heavy thematic material. However, guests will find themselves in several intense situations. There are a couple obstacles that may have to be by-passed inside the maze.

If you’ve purchased either, please check in at the Box Office before getting in line.

The City of Angels isn’t always dominated by those from heaven. On Halloween, there are quite a few souls which were too bad even for the devil to accept into his midst. You may even recognize a few celebrities among these scary spirits. But I predict that by the time it rolls around again next September, just about everyone in Southern California will have heard of the elaborate – and bizarre – haunted house.

Open Friday and Saturday nights in October. For the past four years, you have been the prime example of a perfect inmate. As a reward for your good behavior, the Warden has chosen you to attend a field trip, leaving behind the walls of the penitentiary for one special evening of rehabilitation. But, as you know by now at The 17th Door, you never know what will happen next. The 17th Door’s conceit is to lead a group of up 6-8 people through a maze containing a number of doors (17 to be exact). The rooms beyond the doors rooms are clever; each contains an experience more intense than the last, and this haunt does a nice job of ramping up the feeling of impending dread.

This attraction is not recommended for visitors who have back problems, heart conditions, are prone to seizures or are in general poor health. We reserve the right to determine if you are not allowed for safety reasons. Zombie Invasion - Perris, CAZombie Invasion runs the last weekend on Saturday and Sunday in October. A paddy wagon feels as though it’s really moving. A storm of plastic balls nearly “drowns” you in a narrow passageway. Ghosts attack in a chapel and a deranged student attacks in a classroom.
