Would you dare to cut apart an IOD Transfer? IOD Public

iron orchid design transfers

Since we need to make transfers and then press them on it's a much slower process so it costs a bit more. Now burnish your transfer using the back side of the plastic carrier paper your transfer came on. You’ll rub it around quickly on the surface of your project with light pressure to ensure your transfer has a good bond on your surface. Once your project is entirely dry, apply your Joie Des Rose Transfer. Cut the transfer as needed and keep the scraps for covering any small mistakes or adding extra detail. Lynne uses additional motifs like butterflies from the IOD Entomology Transfer for additional flare and to cover up any “oopsies” you may encounter.

Slowly and carefully lower the transfer onto your intended surface, making sure that it does not touch until the placement is correct. Use small pieces of low tack tape to hold it in place. Some customers prefer the way a transfer sits on top of the shirt. They have a more opaque look vs. a direct screen print.

Lots of useful information and great job by the way! Studio is dark, confusing, time consuming and overall pretty overrated. Certain parts might appear to be available to buy, but upon looking further only a handful of sellers might have them.

You can use Bricklink Studio’s instruction maker to not only organise your building steps but also design the final look of your pages. I’m not extremely familiar with this side of their editor but there are several videos online that go over the settings to change the look and layout of the page. Depending on your level of experience with graphic design I would caution you to stick with Bricklink Studio’s instruction maker.

What is Rebrickable?

I am going to give you a detailed example to show this. Once I have them organized I like to print my parts list out. Because of my storage system (Sorted By Sunday) I cut apart the build list and organize it by category. Then I work my way through the parts list pulling out every piece I have. I also pull out any substitutes that may work (similar colors or shapes) and set these aside.

LEGO® 2

Instructions are for sale and vary from $5-20 depending on the size of the build and how famous the designer is. You can look at the parts lists before buying instructions, which is really helpful when planning. Instructions are either a follow along video or pdf download. You can still get the best building experience with the stand alone, Digital PDF instruction manuals. Each showing step-by-step how all the parts are added to create an amazing display kit.

For icons of a different kind, you can also check out our LEGO® Art collection. These unique sets allow builders to create stunning wall art pieces using LEGO bricks. Each set depicts a different image, such as the portrait of an iconic historical figure or fictional character. If you enjoy engaging with pop culture, you’ll love collections such as our LEGO® Batman, LEGO® Harry Potter, and LEGO® Star Wars sets. These products allow builders to recreate scenes and vehicles from popular franchises.

Printing in CMYK often makes your artwork appear darker, or more blue. If you are designing your own box/ instructions, check that your document’s colour profile is set correctly to RGB (screen) or CMYK (print). Also, check for any other specific directions that the company you are using has for formatting your files or other settings. This can often be found on the company’s FAQ section or by asking the company. I wanted to make a printed instruction booklet, so I was only using Bricklink Studio’s instruction maker to generate the images I would need of each building step. Once I had the high resolution PNG images exported from Bricklink Studio, I then used Adobe Illustrator to design my actual pages.

design your own lego set

Each PDF comes with a complete parts list (bill of materials) that you will need for the model. It's great for those who have their own LEGO® bricks collection. Does NOT come with physical elements, only downloadable digital file. Modifying a Lego set is the easiest and least expensive way to come up with something new.

design your own lego set

It will give you lots and lots more options to create. Instructions for custom Lego sets are available to build almost anything you can imagine. These can range from a micro-builds with bricks up to massive ships with over 1/4 of a million bricks. Commonly referred to as MOCs (My Own Creations) these take every shape and form. Otherwise it is easy to spend $100's of dollars on special bricks. Often this is more than you would have paid for this build to begin with.

If you know of a way to build your own lego minifigure instructions, please let me know in the comments. Most builders with a moderate collection of bricks have all the elements needed, but you still may want to see exactly how to do it. Web Lic is a free tool that can be used to make professional looking instructions for your MOCs. Lic helps you create 3D models and export them as high-resolution images or PDF from you 3D LDraw models. Once you design your set with the easy to use design side, simply press the instructions button and complete and editable LEGO assembly instructions are generated automatically. I circled the parts that are in almost every Lego collection in green.

If you have a passion for Legos, you may be wondering if you could make some money by selling your Lego instructions. It might be better to give away free building instructions to start, but that is up to you. When finished, you can save your instructions or share them with others. You can also download a PDF of your instructions so that you can print them out or share them electronically. In my opinion, this is the perfect LEGO app to virtually play with the bricks. If I notice that the build I want to make, has a brick that we don't own, then my first step is to pull out the instructions.

Also explore lego construction sets withoutt having to actually buy them. These are the same kind of instructions that you might get with an authentic lego ideas instructions set. Many sellers on Bricklink are in Europe and shipping is usually $10 or more per package. If you are ordering a few hundred bricks, no big deal. If you only need 20 special parts and they are at 2 different sellers, well you are paying $1 per brick in shipping.

Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald and the team's cheerleaders joined the ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday. It was shipped to Legoland in 60 separate pieces due to its immense size after being built offsite. Choose among many amazing display model kits from the lineup. Models inspired by cars from all around the world. Supercars, JDM legends, classics, hot hatches, trucks, off-roaders and many more.

Long gone are the days of building a Star Wars ship that collapses in half while playing with it. It all starts with an idea - Once you have an idea for a LEGO set that you’d like to design, gather images of your subject matter from all different angles. If the subject is something that appears differently across various forms of media, decide if you will be making one exact look, or if yours will be a mash-up of different iterations. So all in all there are 10 pieces to a minifig – everything else is an accessory if you ask me. Then you can download the lego instruction book for whatever you need.

I mainly have used Bricklink to source the parts needed for each set. I have also used LEGO’s Bricks and Pieces service, but the availability of parts is often hit or miss. An obvious example of this would be, instead of stacking three plates on top of each other, see if you can use a brick.

With these factors in mind, selling your Lego instructions can be a viable option if you are willing to put in the time and effort. Perhaps you have lost the original instructions. You want a new LEGO Blueprint to guide you through the process.

Building a custom Lego set can be 2 very different steps. Designing the build or finding instructions is where you determine what bricks need to go together and how. Getting those bricks can be a totally different process.

Trump Slows Campaign Spending as He Tries to Close Cash Gap With Biden The New York Times

senate and house leaders reach agreement on 2024 government spending.

Then, the Senate would act on the bill, but it would require all senators to agree on speeding up the process to get to a final vote before the midnight Friday deadline. Such agreements generally require Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., to allow for votes on various amendments to the bill in return for an expedited final vote. Schumer said Tuesday he was hopeful of avoiding a lapse in government services. With the possible release of legislative text late Tuesday, the House’s 72-hour rule means that chamber would not take it up until late Friday, just hours before funding expires.

Instead, the omnibus will deliver $728.5 billion — $32.5 billion more than Congress delivered in 2021, according to the Senate Appropriations Committee. The omnibus measure includes discretionary spending increases for both domestic agencies and the Defense Department. On the non-Defense side, the combined increases amount to a $6.7 billion plus-up, a figure that Senate Democrats noted was the largest increase in domestic discretionary spending in the past four years. If the House passes the bill, it will represent another significant bipartisan win for Biden, who has notched a number of legislative victories in the past year on bills that passed with both Republican and Democratic support. Some of the most notable were the Respect for Marriage Act, the infrastructure bill and the CHIPS and Science Act. The Fiscal Responsibility Act of 2023, passed in June, resolved the debt-ceiling crisis and set spending caps for FY2024 and FY2025.

Biden signs $1.2 trillion government spending bill that averted shutdown at last minute.

It will bring funding in line with a deal that was made last year between President Joe Biden and then-House speaker Kevin McCarthy, The New York Times reported. While Biden said he’ll sign the bill package as soon as he receives it, time is running short. The House has a rule that lawmakers get 72 hours to review a bill before voting. “It will also allow us to keep the investments for hardworking American families secured by the legislative achievements of President Biden and Congressional Democrats,” Schumer and Jeffries said. “Finally, we have made clear to Speaker Mike Johnson that Democrats will not support including poison pill policy changes in any of the twelve appropriations bills put before the Congress.

Senate passes 2022 federal spending bill, sends to Biden’s desk

Former President Donald J. Trump’s presidential campaign committee ended March with $45 million on hand, federal filings showed Saturday, as he tries to close the fund-raising gap with President Biden. The Senate voted 68 to 29 to send the legislation to the House, which is set to take it up on Friday. The Senate vote came one day after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy traveled to Washington and delivered a historic speech to a special joint meeting of Congress.

House and Senate negotiators reach agreement to prevent shutdown

AP Washington correspondent Sagar Meghani reports the White House and congressional leaders say they’ve reached a spending deal that would avert a potential government shutdown this weekend. The action comes nearly six months into the fiscal year, with Congress still only halfway home in passing spending measures expected to total about $1.65 trillion. Lawmakers passed the first portion of spending bills in early March, representing about 30% of discretionary spending for the year. Now lawmakers are focused on the larger package and, in what has become routine, are brushing up against a shutdown deadline. Meanwhile, the White House showed appreciation for the deal reached on Sunday, which not only is the first step to avoid a government shutdown and protect national security but also falls in line with the spending levels both parties agreed upon last year.

Congress passes stopgap spending bill, preventing a partial government shutdown

It will also fund the departments of Health and Human Services, Labor and others. “This represents the most favorable budget agreement Republicans have achieved in over a decade,” Johnson writes. "This represents the most favorable budget agreement Republicans have achieved in over a decade," wrote Johnson. Democrats staved off most of the policy riders that House Republicans sought to include. For example, they beat back an effort to reverse the FDA’s decision that allows the abortion pill mifepristone to be sold in retail pharmacies, instead of only in hospitals, clinics and medical offices. Democrats also said the bill would fully fund a nutrition program for low-income women, infants and children known as WIC.

United States federal budget

WASHINGTON — The Senate on Thursday approved a roughly $1.7 trillion spending package that would fund the federal government into next fall and send another round of financial assistance to Kyiv, a day after lawmakers welcomed President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine to Capitol Hill. Work on the final spending bills hit a late snag around funding for the Department of Homeland Security, but the contours of that bill were resolved late Monday. With less than two weeks before the first deadline—and with the House and Senate still on holiday break—House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) announced they have agreed to $1.59 trillion in spending for fiscal year 2024.

Mr. Zelensky’s daring decision to visit Washington intensified the pressure to act on the measure, which includes nearly $50 billion in assistance to Ukraine. Funding previously would have expired at 12.01am on Saturday for roughly 20% of the federal government, and the remaining agencies only had enough money to last them through next Friday. If passed, the short-term funding bill, known as a continuing resolution, would mark the fourth such stopgap measure approved since September.

With government shutdown looming, House and Senate leaders agree on spending levels

But finally getting a spending bill that aligns with 2022 spending priorities, rather than last year’s, presents challenges of its own, considering how much time has already passed. The $1.5 trillion spending bill, approved almost halfway through the fiscal year, is expected to be swiftly signed into law by the president. Republicans crossed party lines to back what many viewed as must-pass legislation.

The House Freedom Caucus has already signaled they won't support the agreement, tweeting, "It's even worse than we thought. Don't believe the spin. Once you break through typical Washington math, the true total programmatic spending level is $1.658 trillion — not $1.59 trillion. This is total failure." Opposition from far-right Republicans means the legislation will likely need to pass with significant support from Democrats in the Republican-controlled House. The rivals each capitalized on splashy fund-raisers in the past month that brought in tens of millions of dollars for their respective campaigns. But Mr. Trump’s haul from an April 6 event in Palm Beach, Fla., will be reflected on a future filing. His campaign reported that it and the Republican National Committee raked in more than $50.5 million from the dinner, which was held at the home of the billionaire John Paulson. But Mr. Trump’s campaign is spending much less than it was at the start of the year, which has helped it inch closer.

In March, it spent just $3.7 million, the new filings show, compared with $11.4 million in January — and much less than the $29.2 million spent by Mr. Biden’s campaign in March. In other words, Mr. Trump’s campaign is guarding resources as it seeks to build a campaign war chest for the general election. The bill, which would provide nearly $50 billion in aid to Ukraine, now heads to the House for a vote where it is expected to pass before being sent to President Biden. "If Senate Republicans controlled this chamber, we would have handled the appropriations process differently from top to bottom," McConnell said Wednesday on the Senate floor. One provision in the bill would provide for 12,000 special immigrant visas for eligible Afghans who helped Americans despite great personal risk to themselves and their loved ones during roughly two decades of war in Afghanistan. Without congressional action, the State Department could run out of such visas by the end of summer, endangering thousands of Afghans seeking safety in the U.S.

After meeting with Joe Biden at the White House on Tuesday, the House speaker, the Republican Mike Johnson, expressed confidence that members could reach an agreement and avoid a shutdown. WASHINGTON — Congressional leaders on Sunday announced an agreement on overall funding levels as lawmakers face a possible government shutdown. This legislation would restart construction of the border wall, deploy more border patrol agents, strengthen laws against human trafficking, and end the Biden administration’s catch-and-release policy while creating a stricter asylum process. He later clarified that negotiations on the budget bill are ongoing and he’ll consider all aspects of the legislation before making a final decision on how he’ll vote. The final compromise House and Senate appropriators reached this week also cut back a roughly equal amount of spending the the White House wanted to spend on COVID relief.

Congress passes stopgap spending bill, preventing a partial government shutdown

Passing the federal spending package now will also ensure that government funding levels are set in stone while Democrats still control both the House and Senate. If either the Senate or House were to fail to advance the bill, there's a good chance it would be punted into the new year, when Republicans will control the House. From October 1, 2023, to March 23, 2024, the federal government operated under continuing resolutions (CR) that extended 2023 budget spending levels as legislators were debating the specific provisions of the 2024 budget. Most of the “no” votes are expected to come from Republicans, who have been critical of the overall spending levels as well as the lack of policy mandates sought by some conservatives, such as restricting abortion access, eliminating diversity and inclusion programs within federal agencies, and banning gender-affirming care. Schumer tweeted out a line from the statement, saying, "By securing the $772.7B for non-defense discretionary funding, we can protect key domestic priorities from the draconian cuts sought by right-wing extremists." Congressional leaders have reached an agreement on a framework to avert a shutdown and keep the federal government funded until the end of the fiscal year.

A spokesperson for Rep. Burgess Owens said he will release a statement after giving the agreement a closer look.

The agreement includes an increase in Pentagon spending to $886.3 billion and holds nondefense funding essentially flat at $772.7 billion, including $69 billion of added money agreed to through a handshake deal between Mr. McCarthy and the White House. That additional spending is offset by speeding up $10 billion in cuts to I.R.S. enforcement and clawing back $6 billion in unspent Covid dollars and other emergency funds. Officials said the agreement did not include an additional $14 billion sought by the Republican and Democratic appropriators in the Senate to beef up both domestic and military spending. Approval of the sprawling package came less than three days after it was unveiled, as lawmakers raced to avert a government shutdown and codify dozens of fiscal and legislative priorities.

Shawn VanDiver, a Navy veteran and head of #AfghanEvac, a coalition supporting Afghan resettlement efforts, called it an “unequivocal win” if the legislation is ultimately passed. There’s no good reason for us to have one this week now that we’re getting very close to finishing the job,” Schumer said. House Republicans have been determined to end the practice of packaging all 12 annual spending bills into one massive bill called an omnibus. “We want to get it done before the government funding expires Friday,” Scalise said. The agreement speeds up the roughly $20 billion in cuts already agreed to for the Internal Revenue Service and rescinds about $6 billion in COVID relief money that had been approved but not yet spent, according to Johnson’s letter. Under current law, the VA must send a beneficiary’s name to the FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System whenever a fiduciary is appointed to help manage someone’s benefits. This year’s spending package prohibits the VA from transmitting that information unless a relevant judicial authority rules that the beneficiary is a danger to himself or herself, or others. “House Republicans secured key conservative policy victories, rejected left-wing proposals, and imposed sharp cuts to agencies and programs critical to President Biden’s agenda,” Johnson said in a prepared statement. "After preparing final text, this package of six full year Appropriations bills will be voted on and enacted prior to March 8," they wrote.

That translates to roughly $886 billion in defense spending (an approximately 3% increase) and $704 in non-defense spending (about 1% decrease), including a $69 billion side deal in adjustments that will go toward non-defense domestic spending. Biden, in a statement, said the deal "moves us one step closer to preventing a needless government shutdown and protecting important national priorities." The agreement sets topline spending levels at $886 billion for defense spending for the current fiscal year and roughly $773 billion for non-defense spending. The defense figure reflects the deal reached last year by President Biden and former Republican House Speaker Kevin McCarthy. Congressional leaders hope to complete votes on the package this week and continue negotiations on the remaining six annual spending bills to pass them before a March 22 deadline. The vote both avoids the prospect of government shutdowns through the end of the fiscal year on Sept. 30, and eliminates the threat of a year-long continuing resolution that federal agencies had feared.

US Congress leaders reach $1.66tn spending deal ahead of feared shutdown

The figures represent about a 5% increase in nondefense spending, and an 8% hike for defense and Pentagon programs. With government funding partially expiring on Friday, House and Senate negotiators have reached an agreement to prevent a shutdown. Congress will have to officially pass the deal, which already has some challenges. Specifically, conservatives in the Senate want to shore up immigration and border security demands—while conservatives in the House have tied funding decreases to requests for aid for Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan. Congressional leaders struck an agreement to keep the government funded and avert a shutdown. The deal still needs to get through Congress, where it is likely to face opposition from conservatives.

The vote to approve it was , but House Republicans were divided, with 113 in support and 97 against. House Speaker Mike Johnson highlighted some key policy and spending wins for conservatives, even as many of his GOP colleagues consider the changes inadequate. Some House Republicans had hoped the prospect of a shutdown could leverage more concessions from Democrats. One factor that helped generate a final compromise was Democratic leaders’ decision to restore the practice of earmarks. This year’s bill included thousands of those projects at a price tag of several billion dollars.

Johnson would then likely have to bring the bill up through a streamlined process requiring two-thirds support to pass. In a letter to colleagues, House Speaker Mike Johnson said Sunday the agreement would secure $16 billion in additional spending cuts from the previous agreement brokered by then-Speaker Kevin McCarthy and President Joe Biden and is about $30 billion less than what the Senate was considering. If those numbers sound familiar, they are similar to the amounts approved by the Senate Appropriations Committee in the debt ceiling agreement. “Throughout the negotiations, Democrats fought hard to protect against cuts to housing and nutrition programs, and keep out harmful provisions that would further restrict access to women’s health, or roll back the progress we’ve made to fight climate change,” Schumer, D-N.Y., said in support of the legislation. Overall, this year’s spending bills would keep non-defense spending relatively flat with last year’s bill, despite the rise in inflation, and some $70 billion less than what President Joe Biden originally sought.

But as CNN reported, both sides of the aisle agreed to a side deal worth $69 billion, bringing the nondefense spending total to $773 billion and the top line to $1.659 trillion. Despite the deal, time is short to assemble and pass legislation putting the agreement in force before a Jan. 19 deadline. But Wednesday, rank-and-file House Democrats rebelled against cuts Republicans had negotiated in previously approved pandemic aid for 30 states to help pay for the new spending. Rather than delaying the entire bill, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., removed all the pandemic funds. As to the Defense budget, DoD leaders had previously estimated that a year-long CR would have left it with $20 billion less in spending power than it had the year before, partly because simply extending 2021 appropriations for another year would have left billions of dollars in accounts that don’t need and can’t spend the money.

After months of negotiations, House and Senate leaders reached an agreement Sunday on total spending levels to fund the government in 2024. Given that the measure is the last must-pass bill before the holidays and the end of the 117th Congress, lawmakers shoved dozens of separate funding and legislative priorities into the package. The compromise offered Democrats a final opportunity to set the federal budget while they still control both chambers of Congress. The bill, which funds the government through the end of September, substantially increases spending and provides $858 billion in military funding and more than $772 billion for domestic programs.

In some politically contentious years when these negotiation processes deadlock, the Legislative Branch passes a continuing resolution that essentially extends the current funding levels into the new fiscal year until a budget can be agreed upon by a majority of both houses and signed into law by the President of the United States. Supplemental appropriations bills can provide additional appropriations for emergencies and other matters. President Biden called the framework "one step closer to preventing a needless government shutdown and protecting important national priorities," noting, "It reflects the funding levels that I negotiated with both parties and signed into law last spring." In November, Congress passed a short-term bill extending funding for government services at current spending levels. A shutdown would have forced many federal employees to go without pay until Congress passed another funding bill, and while that disruption has been avoided for now, the threat will arise again in the coming weeks.

Though White House officials initially told Congress that Biden wanted $30 billion more to continue battling COVID-19, a few days later, he formally requested a scaled-back $22.5 billion. In bargaining over a final bill with skeptical Republicans, who said Congress had already spent enough, top Democrats settled for $15.6 billion. To that end, the bill also allocates $13.6 billion in funding toward military and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine — those funds are about evenly divided between the Defense and non-Defense accounts. President Biden’s campaign had $85.5 million on hand at the end of March, filings show, and Donald Trump had $45 million, but the president is spending far more freely on the race.

Lawmakers needed an agreement on overall spending levels so that appropriators could write the bills that set line-by-line funding for agencies. House and Senate leaders have announced a spending deal for government funding in 2024—and the IRS will be impacted. It's the latest in the ongoing battle to keep the federal government's lights on. The 4,155-page bill will provide $772.5 billion for nondefense discretionary programs, and $858 billion in defense funding, according to a summary released earlier this week by Senate Appropriations Committee Chairman Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-Vt.

All of the behind-the-scenes work at The 17th Door was captured in the 14-episode reality TV series, “Spook Show 17,” which is now streaming on YouTube. The cameras captured all of the drama and the pay off that comes with months of planning and constructing such an immersive and scary seasonal attraction. In the firing squad room, guests are lined up with their faces against the wall as other guests shoot them with small pellets.

Courtesy of Vixi Labs, all prison treatment facilities will now be powered by revolutionary Vixi-technology. Operated by vile and sadistic engineers, their unorthodox methods for treating evils of humanity have hit new levels of depravity. “The last door had water, I was submerged in water and that’s the one I didn’t do well in,” said 25-year-old Megan Pruett, a Phoenix, Ariz. resident who had just gone through the attraction. “The thing that’s really cool is that for people who may be too afraid to go through the haunt, they can watch the show and decide if they want to come,” Luther said of the series. The main attraction is based on the fictional tale of Paula, a young girl with a traumatic past who enrolls into Gluttire University. But her demons follow her to college and now into Perpetuum Penitentiary, a prison where she has been locked up.

“My friends just said we’re going to a haunted maze and I thought it was going to be just a haunted maze, not as scary as this was. At some points, I actually thought I was dying,” said Ma, who was noticeably out of breath and soaking wet as he stumbled out of The 17th Door, a haunted attraction based in Fullerton. They have added a 50 minute field trip this year. Far from those kid-friendly rides through a pumpkin patch, this hayride unleashes all sorts of demons and bogeys on Griffith Park. Like so many pop culture horror experiences recently, this year’s Haunted Hayride once again rewinds the action to the mid-’80s in the ficticious town of Midnight Falls. In operation since 2015, the 17th Door Haunted House offers a more visceral experience than most Halloween attractions.

Visitors formed a long line, with groups of about six herded through every minute or so. After signing cause-for-pause release forms stating that our survivors couldn’t sue should we die of fear, Register photographer Kevin Sullivan and I crossed the first threshold with a few other risk takers. Pre-show, the lobby bustled with sinister clowns, ghouls, zombies, indeterminable freaks and so on. The 17th Door creaked open its doors Friday night at the Tustin Market Place for the duration of the Halloween season. George Ma had no idea what he was really in for when he went out with his friends last Saturday night to begin their annual Halloween celebrations.
